Encompassing not only Italy’s top three destinations but also romantic and exciting Monte Carlo and Paris, this trip places you in the center of  some of the world’s best honeymoon destinations and allows time not only to see the sights but also plenty of free time to explore on your own.

 Begin your trip with a flight to Rome, where you’ll be whisked away to one of the city’s best hotels for a 4-night stay in the Eternal City. For your first day in Rome, enjoy a relaxing breakfast and take time to explore the city on your own. Throw coins in the Trevi Fountain, sit on the Spanish Steps and people watch, or seek out the city’s best gelato spots. On the following day, we’ve arranged a walking tour of the Vatican Museums, home to the world’s most extensive collection of art; the Sistine Chapel; and St. Peter’s Basilica. The next day, participate in a half-day walking tour of Ancient Rome to include the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Roman Forum, Circus Maximus, and many other notable sights. Conclude your time in Rome with a romantic dinner on your own.

Next, depart by rail for Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance and Italy’s most cultural city. Check in for a 3-night stay and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. On your first full day in Florence you’ll explore the famed Uffizi and Accademia Galleries, home to Michelangelo’s David and other notable works of art. While in Florence, we’ll also arrange a tour to the surrounding Tuscan countryside including the chance to visit the hilltowns of Montepulciano, San Gimignano, and others, where you can taste the wine or perhaps participate in a pasta-making class.

Following your time in Florence, you’ll depart by rail for Venice, often considered one of the most romantic cities in the world. Your introduction to Venice includes a Grand Canal boat tour followed by free time to enjoy the city’s backstreets, visit sites such as St. Mark’s Square, and partake of the local cuisine.

After a 3-night stay in Venice, head to exciting Monte Carlo, where you’ll check in for another 3-night stay. During your free time in this vibrant destination, you can relax on the beach, try your luck at gaming in the casino, stroll along the harbor, go shopping at La Metropole, or wander through the serene Japanese Gardens.

When you leave Monte Carlo, you’ll complete your honeymoon in Europe with a rail trip to Paris and a 4-night stay at one of the city’s top luxury hotels. Enjoy your first day at leisure followed by a full-day excursion via the Hop On-Hop Off Bus Tour, which will include a museum pass that allows entrance to more than 60 of the city’s renowned museums, including the Louvre. Be sure to get off the bus to admire such sites as the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Champs-Elysees. We’ll also book reservations for a visit to the Eiffel Tower so you won’t have to wait in line. For your final two days in Paris, you’ll want to explore the city’s interesting neighborhoods (arrondissements) on your own, including the Left Bank, Montparnasse, Montmartre and Pigalle, The Latin Quarter, and Le Marais.
