Honeymoons in Italy

Italy and romance go hand in hand, so if you’re looking for a memorable honeymoon there’s no better place. Let’s take a look at three of its most famous honeymoon cities; Venice, Florence and Rome.
Venice was named after Venus, the goddess of love –nowhere else in the world can boast that accolade.
First stop has to be a trip along the Grand Canal in your own private Gondola to take in the splendour of the Palaces and marble churches that seem to defy gravity hovering above the water.
On foot, you’ll be amazed at the calli, narrow alleyways where you’ll see artisans producing the finest leather goods in the world. Here too, are the most extraordinary fine and contemporary art galleries Italy has to offer.
Venetians are renowned for their hospitality, good food and wine. You’ll be spoilt for choice where to have a romantic dinner for two serenaded by 18th century Baroque music.
Florence won’t fail to impress, a city where nothing seems to have changed for 100’s of years; the Tuscan jewel in the crown of Romantic Renaissance Italy. Visit the Uffizi, Pitti and Accademia where you’ll find artworks by Michelangelo, Giotto and of course Leonardo.
Florence is the gateway to the famous Tuscan countryside, a spectacle you won’t want to miss. Hire a car with a driver, and don’t forget your camera. Tuscany is one of Italy’s most beautiful regions that’s inspired countless artists.
Finally Rome, a city so drenched in history it’s almost impossible to soak up in one visit. Book a trip to the Villa Borghese, housing some of the most beautiful sculpture and art Rome has to offer. Then take a walk around the grounds for spectacular views.
No trip to Rome is complete without a trip to the Vatican City. Then end your day in the Piazza Navona. Romance is sure to be on every menu!
