Honeymoons in France
When you think of France for your honeymoon, there are probably three main destinations to consider. Paris, the Côte d’Azur and the Loire Valley – all three offer very different but equally romantic experiences.
Paris is without doubt the international capital of romance. It’s said that at the end of every one of its famous avenues there is always something beautiful to see. Not to mention its reputation for the best cuisine in the world.
The city is steeped in history, particularly its famous left bank and Montmartre where some of the world’s most renowned artists and fashion designers had their studios. A romantic evening river trip along the Seine is a must.
The Côte d’Azur has long been renowned as the playground of the jet-set society with Cannes, St Tropez, and Nice, offering some of the most luxurious, first class hotel accommodation in the world.
The French Riviera became the chosen destination of the A-list because of its beauty, accessibility, and its climate – even in winter months temperatures are comfortably warm.
In Contrast, the Loire Valley offers a truly unique honeymoon package, particularly for lovers of historic beauty, fine wine and a truly unforgettable gastronomic experience. This region is home to some of France’s most famous Chateaux of which there are more than a thousand to visit.
The Loire valley is often referred to as ‘The Garden of France’. The peace and tranquillity you’ll find there makes it a perfect romantic destination.
Time permitting; it’s possible to take in all three. If you like driving there’s no better way to enjoy France. Starting in the Loire head down to The Côte d’Azur then, for the last leg, drop off your hire car in Nice and take a fast train back to Paris – the capital of romance.
