Greece has everything to offer for the perfect honeymoon –islands like Crete and Delos or if you’re looking for something more lively head for Athens. Crete is the largest of the islands and has a remarkable history. This beautiful island, known for its spectacular landscapes have everything you need for the perfect honeymoon with its remote villages where you’ll be left alone to enjoy peace and tranquillity.
In the East, you’ll find the only palm tree forest in Europe, stunning beaches and isolated coves. Or if beaches are not to your taste and you want to experience a real Cretan lifestyle. Head for the stunning mountain villages where life moves at a much slower pace.
 
Delos is one of the most important archaeological islands of the Cyclades. It lies a few kilometres west of Mykonos that has all the night life and restaurants anyone could ask for.
Delos is the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis and although it doesn’t have a resident population to speak of it is still regarded as a sacred place. If you want to see more of the Cyclades it’s a great place to island hop from too, with frequent boat trips from the tiny port.
 
Athens has something for everyone. It’s one of the most ancient and romantic European destinations with some incredibly stylish and sophisticated restaurants and hotels. The city is crowned by the Parthenon and at night it’s lit to form one of the most beautiful sites in ancient Europe. Cars are banned from the historic centre, so you’re free to roam at will on one of the longest and most fascinating, romantic promenades in the world.
